MINNEAPOLIS—ECMC Group has established a postsecondary education scholarship in memory of longtime employee Paulette Jones for graduate students studying cybersecurity at Metro State University in St. Paul, Minn.
Paulette spent decades working in IT and cybersecurity at ECMC Group, which donated $25,000 to fund The Paulette Jones Cybersecurity Graduate Student Scholarship. Four $1,250 awards will be distributed annually.
“As one of our first employees in 1994, Paulette’s contributions to the organization are many and far-reaching,” said Dan Fisher, president and CEO of ECMC Group. “Her passion for her role as well as the organization’s mission of helping underserved students succeed was evident each and every day. We hope this scholarship will enable others, particularly women, to follow their calling into the field of technology.”
Metro State University’s award-winning programs in computer science, information technology and cybersecurity provide students with the hands-on experience and current programming skills needed to advance their careers in most aspects of computer science.
