Houston, Texas—Altierus Career College's Houston campus has appointed Greg Garrett as the new campus director. Garrett will oversee campus management and strategy, as well as day-to-day operations supporting academic quality, student enagement and student success in all programs and services. The change is effective immediately.
"With his many years of leadership in the career and technical education space, Greg is uniquely qualified to lead our campus into the future," said Jacob Kassuba, vice president of operations for Zenith Education Group, which oversees the Altierus Career College campuses. "Not only is he well versed in the industry, but as a Houston resident, he understands the unique challenges being faced by the area's students and employers. I am confident he will be a champion for our students and employees alike."
Garrett brings 15 years of experience in education administration and leadership across a variety of postsecondary institutions. He has expertise building and leading programs, as well as developing strong campus faculty and staff that will be valuable to the Altierus campus' growth and improvement. He also is a retired United States Navy master chief petty officer.
"I have seen what strong leadership and education innovation can do to improve student outcomes and the learning experience," said Garrett. "I look forward to bringing my management style to Altierus as the school continues to update and evolve its programs to better support students and the employers hiring them."
Garrett holds a Master of Business Administration from American Intercontinental University (AIU) and a Bachelor of Science in liberal studies from Regents College University of New York.
Altierus Career College offers diploma and degree programs in the skilled trades and healthcare. In addition, Altierus provides innovative learning technology, a hands-on experience, one-on-one support, connections with industry experts and wraparound services such as transportation assistance, emergency grants and tablets to support continuity of the education journey.
